MARGAO: Social worker Prabhav Naik said it is shocking that online or digital payments for registrations are not accepted from patients at South Goa District Hospital and urged Health Minister Vishwajit Rane to immediately clear the file and start online payment facility.
Prabhav Naik was speaking to media after meeting Dr Rajendra Borkar, Medical Superintendent of Hospicio South Goa District Hospital and discussed issues of patient registration, shortage of ambulances and beds shortage and said that he has given some suggestions which medical superintendent has assured to implement the same to ease hardships of patients.
Regarding ambulance service in hospital, Prabhav Naik said that the hospital has only two dedicated ambulances, which are allotted for cardiac and neonatal patients and brought to the attention of Health Minister Vishwajit Rane to provide immediately two more ambulances, which he assured during his surprises visit in the hospital recently
Prabhav Naik also said that he understood the difficulties faced by the medical staff due to acute shortage of beds and shortage of manpower, which the government should solve as soon as possible.
