ST FRANCIS XAVIER FEAT AT OLD GOA ON 3RD DECEMBER

PANAJI: The feast of St Francis Xavier (SFX) or Goencho Saib will be celebrated on Thursday, 3rd December.

The feast mass will be held at 10:30 am and it will be celebrated by Goa and Daman Archbishop Felipe Neri Ferrao, who will be the main celebrant  and concelebrated by Bishop Emeritus Alex and others and attended by a total of 200 people.

On the fest day, masses will be held at 6 am attended by the Deanery of Aldona; 7 am to be attended Tiatrists; 8 am mass will be attended by Jesuits and 5 am will be the adoration. Spanish Mass will be held at 6 pm.

These masses are not open to devotees but can be viewed online.

The kissing of the relics will start from 5 am to 8 am or 9 am, informed Bom Jesus Basilica Rector Fr Patricio Fernandes.

The 160 devotees will be from all the parishes of Goa, the other 40 will include priests, nuns and other persons.

From 4th December onwards there will be two masses daily, at 7 am and 8 am. To attend the masses the devotee/s will have to call and inform on mobile phone number: 9075212942.
