MARCEL: Speaker of the Goa Legislative Assembly, Ramesh Tawadkar, unveiled the Diwali magazine of the Ashray Foundation and Cultural Association during an event held at the Sangita Sabhagriha in Nanuj Village, Marcel.
The occasion was attended by industrialist Laximan Raikar, Professor Govind Bhagat from the Government Polytechnic in Panaji, as well as panchayat members Sunil Bhomkar and Aparna Amonkar.
During the event, Ramesh Tavadkar honored several progressive farmers, including Tivrem-Mahabaleshwar Gaonkar, Gokuldas Naik, Mangala Naik, Ramdas Nani Gaude, Vithoba Desai, and Arun Shetkar from Vargao, along with Venkatesh Gaude and Maruti Gaude from Marcel, Manjula Gaude from Madpai, and Ulahs Gaonkar from Khandola. Journalist Sanjay Ghugretkar provided insights regarding the Diwali magazine. The president of the Ashray Foundation, Vinay Gaonkar, extended a warm welcome, while Secretary Pratap Volvoikar introduced the chief guest. The event was compered by Rasika Gaonkar.
