MORPIRLA CELEBRATES ANNUAL DAY
MORPILA: PM Shri Government High School, Morpirla celebrated annual day with great enthusiasm and gaiety. The day showcased the achievements of the students held throughout the year. It was an event filled with performances, awards and recognition. The chief guest for the annual day was Tilroy Fernandes, Ex Principal of Cuncolim United Higher Secondary school.
The Guest of honor was Ashwini Gaonkar- Sarpanch of the village Panchayat, Prakash Velip- Deputy Sarpanch and other dignitaries. Headmistress Maria Morena welcomed the guests with her welcome speech and attributed the success of the school to her dedicated staff and students.
The chief guest also addressed the gathering emphasizing the importance of education and encouraging the students to strive for excellence.
The three toppers of the school were felicitated by the chief guest for their outstanding performance. Deputy Sarpanch Prakash Velip gave a cash prize of Rs 7000 for the SSC topper in boys category and Rs 4000 for girl topper in the school. PTA chairman Srikant Velip also felicitated the first three toppers with a cash prize and Pramod Velip- SMDC chairman too felicitated the toppers. The vote of thanks was proposed by teacher Bindiya.
