PERNEM FIREMEN RESCUE WOMAN WHO FELL INTO WELL
PERNEM: The Pernem firemen on Monday rescued a 72-year-old who fell into a well at Korgao.
According to information available from the Pernem fire station, the incident occurred at 11:15 am when Indira Shetye who was walking near the well lost her balance and fell into the well, situated near the government school at Korgao.

Hearing her cries for help, the locals rushed to the spot and immediately informed the police. On getting the information, a team from the Pernem fire station rushed to the spot and with a ladder, secured the woman with a rope and pulled her out.

Pernem fire station sub-officer Prashant Dhargalkar, Dilip Gawas, Jairam Malik, firemen Ratan Parab, Amit Sawal, Avinash Naik, and fireman/driver Ramdas Parab took part in the rescue operation. The villagers of Korgao also assisted the firemen during the rescue operations.
