Mapusa Municipal Council workers went on an indefinite strike after the council failed to settle their demands as the order passed the labor commissioner. Speaking to the media, Mapusa Municipal Council worker Shivaji Kadam informed that although the council decided to settle their demands council chairperson and deputy chairperson kept mum on their demands after their meeting with the chief officer when workers called on them on Friday and today all workers decided to strike work as per notice serve to the council by the union.
