  3. Mahendra Wani: Union Budget 2026 to Enhance MSME Competitiveness

CII welcomes the forward-looking Union Budget 2026 that strongly reinforces India’s manufacturing and MSME ecosystem. The continued thrust on capital expenditure, along with the capex increase, will help create industrial-ready ecosystems and significantly strengthen industrial growth and supply-chain efficiencies.

The dedicated focus on MSMEs through enhanced access to capital, equity support, and liquidity measures will help small and medium enterprises scale up, modernise operations, and integrate more effectively into global value chains. The continued push for regulatory simplification and tech adoption will further improve ease of doing business and enable MSMEs to enhance productivity, competitiveness, and resilience.
