FIRST MEETING OF SLOC OF GOA LIBERATION DAY ON 4TH DECEMBER

PANAJI: The first meeting of State-Level Organising Committee of 60th Year of Goa Liberation Day celebrations to chalk out the programme has been  scheduled at 4 pm on Friday, December 4 at the conference hall, Ministerial Block, Secretariat, Porvorim.

It may be informed that the Goa Government has decided to mark the significant and momentous occasion of 60th Year of Goa Liberation Day in a big way by commemorating it as a State programme with year-long programme starting from December 19, 2020.

The Government has constituted State-Level Organising Committee with the task of screening the proposals and Monitoring Committee to monitor the day-to-day functioning and to oversee all activities pertaining to various works/facilities and their execution.

The Department of Information and Publicity has been designated as the Nodal Department to undertake all activities of the celebrations.

The State Level Organising committee  under the Chairmanship of Chief Minister, Dr. Pramod Sawant comprises of all 40 MLA’s of the Goa Legislative Assembly, freedom Fighters, prominent businessmen and people from various fields.
