CRIME BRANCH FILE CHARGE SHEET AGAINST SIX ACCUSED IN SWAPNIL WALKE MURDER CASE
MARGAO: The Crime Branch on Monday filed a chargesheet against six accused persons in Margao jeweller Swapnil Walke murder case which occurred on September 2.
The chargesheet was filed by PI C L Patil before the Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC), Margao.
Th three accused have been c hargesheeted under section 302, robbery with deadly weapons and destruction of evidence of Indian Penal Code (IPC) while, and three accused who were arrested and brought from Bihar last month have been chargesheeted under the Arms Act.
The chargesheet contains more than 1100 pages and statements of 115 witnesses have been attached to the chargesheet.
Margao-based jeweller Swapnil Walke (42), was shot and then stabbed by a group of three robbers in his shop in broad daylight on 2 September 2020.
