CANACONA: Cankonkars Together for a Better Tomorrow has submitted a memorandum to Madhu Narvekar, the Member Secretary of Ravindra Bhavan in Canacona, urging the need to rectify existing issues and to fully operationalize Ravindra Bhavan. The delegation, which included Janardhan Bhandari, Vikas Bhagat, Gaspar Coutinho, and youth leaders Manesh N Gaonkar, Vaishal Pagi, Sidharth Gayak, and Sidharth Bhandari, along with senior citizens, highlighted several concerns to the Member Secretary.
They noted that since its inauguration reently, numerous facilities have either been non-operational or have not reached their full potential. Issues raised included malfunctioning air-conditioning, inadequate audio setups, frequent power outages during events, non-functional generators, and the canteen’s continued inactivity.
Additionally, they pointed out the need to relocate the electric transformer situated directly in front of the venue, the economic burden of excessive curtains for performances, and the absence of a constituted Ravindra Bhavan Committee to date.
