MARGAO: Babazino Dias, panch member of ward-7, has been elected unopposed as Sarpanch of Chandor-Cavorim village panchayat. The post was vacant after Estefanio Dias had resigned recently.
After getting elected, Babazino Dias thanked the people of Chandor and all panch members for giving him the opportunity to become Sarpanch.
“We all seven panch members are together for the development and prosperity of our village. I am thankful to our Cuncolim MLA Yuri Alemao for supporting us to make development of the village. His guidance and support have always helped us to fulfill people’s aspirations,” Babazino Dias said.
Babazino Dias said that whatever facilities have to be given to people, will be discussed with them and then with support of MLA Yuri Alemao it will be accomplished.
Leader of Opposition Yuri Alemao, whilst Congratulating Babazino Dias, said that all the panch members have to heed to the peoples opinion, which can help to provide better facilities.
