
PANAJI: The Gender Champions Club in collaboration with the NSS Unit, organized a Poster Making Competition on the theme “Together for Equality” recently. The event aimed to promote gender equality through artistic expression, encouraging students to convey powerful messages through their creative works.
A total of twelve teams, comprising twenty-four students, participated in the competition, showcasing remarkable talent and deep insight into the theme.
The first prize was awarded to Ayaan Shaikh and Vidisha Jadhav. The second prize secured by Mayusha Damodar Phondekar and Karuna Kothawale. The third prize shared by two teams-one consisting of Saurabh Jog and Tejas Tarale, and the other comprising Shradha Sakhalkar and Sakshi Gaonkar. Vishal Gaonkar, Brahmanand Sawant and Ajit were the judges for the competition.
The competition witnessed an impressive display of thought-provoking and visually compelling posters, effectively highlighting the importance of gender equality, inclusion and breaking stereotypes. The best posters will be exhibited across the college campus to further promote awareness and inspire discussions on gender rights and social justice.
The posters were highly appreciated by the Principal Prof Namdev Gawas, faculty members and students. Their encouragement and support added to the success of the event, reinforcing the importance of such initiatives in fostering awareness and change.
