ALL GOA PRIVATE BUS OWNERS TO PROTEST IF DEMANDS NOT MET BY NOV 22
PANAJI: The All Goa Private Bus Owners Association on Tuesday said that they will stage protest from November 23, if their demand for relaxations on road tax, passenger tax and the 25 per cent penalty for one-year due to the COVID-19 pandemic crisis was not fulfilled by the government latest by November 22.
All Goa Private Bus Owners Association (AGPBOA) general secretary Sudip Tamhankar said hay the Association had already filed a petition in the Bombay High Court at Goa where the hearing is set for Wednesday, November 18.

Tamhankar said that the Association had requested the government to revoke the permissions given to Kadamba buses to operate in all village areas during COVID-19 as the timings of the buses clash and create problems. He also said if the department of department fails to come up with a solution within next eight days then the Association will protest outside the department of transport, Panaji.
Tamhankar also asked the government to revoke the permits given to State-owned Kadamba Transport Corporation (KTC) buses to operate on many intra-State road during COVID-pandemic situation and to delay the implementation of the amended Motor Vehicles Act till all the roads in Goa are repaired and hotmixed.
