Aam Aadmi Party CM candidate Advocate Amit Palekar was warmly welcomed by constituents during his door to door campaign in St. Cruz constituency. After AAP declared Palekar as CM face, the people of St. Cruz are overjoyed and see Palekar as a new hope for the constituency.

A St. Cruz constituent expressed that Palekar would be the second Kejriwal. St. Cruz people feel very fortunate to have an honest, talented, and hardworking candidate like Palekar. Another constituent presented him his favourite dish, Sheer Korma. Several residents who have known Palekar since childhood and treat him like their own child gave him a warm welcome.

“I support AAP’s appointment of Palekar as the party’s chief ministerial candidate. Palekar had been reaching out to St.Cruz folks whenever they were in need even before entering politics. While he has performed many services during Covid, his aim now is to deliver a corruption-free governance in the state, and St. Cruz people will support him in this endeavor”, a St.Cruz resident said.

While speaking to the media Palekar said, “St. Cruz has seen no development for the past 25 years. The villager’s long-pending demand for a market at St.Cruz village has not been met. After being one of the most popular tourist destinations, St. Cruz does not have adequate transport connectivity. Major bus stops are in disarray. Even the basic amenities, such as uninterrupted water and power supply, are lacking at St. Cruz”.

Adding he said, “In St. Cruz, the people are looking for change, and I promise to bring that change. If AAP gets elected, St. Cruz will get basic amenities like uninterrupted power supply and water supply, as well as good roads”
