A free medical camp to mark the World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day was organised at Red Cross Office in Panaji today. The camp was organised by the Indian Red Cross Goa State in Collaboration with Manipal hospitals Goa and The Directorate of Health Services conducted Hepatities diagnosis. Dr Shekar Arolkar and his team was present for this programme.

During the inaugural session of the Camp Vice Chairman of Indian Red Cross Society Goa State Branch Shri. Manguerish Pai Raikar said that, Indian Red Cross Society has been rendering yeoman services to the mankind. Indian Red Cross is working across the World towards helping
humanity. It has significantly contributed in the field of medical aid and health care services to the needy people in the State. Member of Red Cross Shri Salim Isani was present on the occasion.
General Secretary, Shri John Aguiar while welcoming informed about various
activities and services being conducted and extended by the Indian Red Cross Society for the people in need.

The team of Manipal hospitals included Dr Amrut S D ( Consultant Neurology), Dr Vaibhav Shakya ( Oncology), Dr Mahadev Pokale ( Consultant Physician ), Dr Shefali Sinai sangaonkar ( Dental surgeon), Dr Shobhit Raizada ( Maxillofacial prosthodontist), Dr Sonali Karapurker ( Clinical Assistance), Monica Toraskar ( Patient care), Shamrao Davanakate ( EMT staff )Yashwant Azgaonkar ( Pilot staff ),Mr Praveen Rane ( Senior Executive Manipal Hospital Goa ).

Chairman of Indian Red Cross Society Shri Gaurish Dhond also visited the medical Camp and expressed his happiness.

The Red Cross Staff Shri Rio Couto, Shri Sachin Parab, Smt. Alka Kerkar and Smt. Vandana Fatarpekar rendered their assistance during the camp..

Earlier, to mark the Birth Anniversary of Red Cross Society founder Jean Henry Dunant rich tributes were paid by the dignitaries present. The theme of Red Cross Day 2025 is Keeping Humanity Alive.

The medical Camp evoked good response as it witnessed a remarkable turnout, reflecting the growing trust in the work of Indian Red Cross, wherein people from different walks of life availed the services.
