VOTERS AWARENESS CAMPAIGN LAUNCHED
PANAJI: The office of the District Electoral Officer North Goa District launched Voters Awareness Campaign 2020. A rally was fagged off by Gopal Parsekar, Additional Collector, North from Goa Pharmacy College, Panaji which winded up at Church Square in the city to mark the launching.

Parsekar Flagged Off the “Special Summary Revision 2021” Awareness Campaign Rally from Pharmacy College to Church Square Panaji on December 2, 2020. Also present were SVEEP Nodal Officer, Dr. Gervasio Mendes, Mamlatdar in Collector’s office, Varsha Parab and others.
While addressing the rally, Additional Collector II, Gopal Parsekar said that the purpose behind organising the rally is to promote awareness among voters to enroll during ongoing special Summary Revision 2021. He appealed to voters especially to young voters to enroll their names in voters list to participate in democracy. The participation of every citizen is important for strengthening the democracy.
SVEEP Nodal Officer, Dr Gervasio Mendes, in his address exhorted the youth who will be completing 18 years of their age in January 2021 to enroll their names in voters list. The election office has commenced the process of enrollment of names. Necessary changes in voters list, correction of names etc from November 16, 2020 to December 15, 2010. In order to avail the benefit to eligible voters the Election Commission of India has organised two days camp from December 5 to December 6, 2020.
During these days, BLO will visit every booth where eligible voter can enroll their names and those who want to make the changes correction can do so.
