Minister for PWD, Shri Deepak Pauskar applauded doctors, staff, nurses, and employees of the health department for their contributions during the Covid-19 pandemic, for assisting in the delivery of the first dosage of Covid vaccination to 100% of the eligible population.
Shri Pauskar was speaking as a chief guest for the State level function organized by Directorate of Health Service (DHS) in coordination with Primary Health Center – Dharbandora to focus on “100 Crore of Covid Vaccination Celebrations” in the State of Goa at PHC , Dharnadora today.
Smt Swati Tilve, sarpanch VP Dharbandora; Dr Ira Almeida – DHS, Dr. Rajendra Borkar; CMO, SFWB; Mr. Mohammad Sheikh, Principal, Multi Faculty College; Smt Shaila Naik, CDPO, ICDS, Dharbandora; Dr Sandesh Madkaikar, Health Officer, PHC Dharbandora; Dr Utkarsh Betodkar, Epidemiologist, IDSP, DHS and Dr. Sarvanand, OSD to PWD Minister were among those prominent persons present on the occasion.
Shri Pauskar speaking further said that under the leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi, the best possible support was extended to each and every States to fight against Covid-19. The government has committed its entire support to ensure that the vaccination effort is a success. As a result, the country has reached 100 crores vaccinations. The credit for this achievement goes to each and every Indian citizen. This is the outcome of our combined efforts. “I applaud all of the citizens who are being part of this achievement,” he remarked.
Dr. Rajendra Borkar emphasizing that the State have powerful health-care resources said on a daily basis, 1 lakh doses of Covid-19 vaccination are administered. India is currently ranked second in terms of vaccination and soon achieve the top spot. I congratulate all the health workers who contributed to this victory. We need to motivate all citizens who have not yet received their first dose and those who are yet to take their second dose.
Earlier staff of DHS, PHC presented the folk dances including small play to convey the message of 100 crores vaccination as a part of celebration.
Cyclothon is one among the activities proposed for the “100 Crores of Covid Vaccination Celebration.” Cycling was done within the vicinity of Dharbandora to spread the word about Covid vaccination to the villagers.
Dr. Sandesh Madkaikar greeted the visitors. Shri Umesh Kholkar, extension educator, SFWB,DHS proposed the vote of thanks, while Dr Anjali Desai, Ayurvedic Physician, compared the function.
