MIRAMAR: The Rotary Club of Miramar organized a special event to honor five outstanding individuals who have dedicated over 25 years of selfless service in their respective fields which reflects commitment to recognizing the invaluable contributions of everyday heroes in community.
The awardees included: Milk Supplier Demani Gangaram Kakatkar, Fisherwoman Josefina Vaz, Newspaper Supplier Pravin Dina Murgoankar, Clerk at Mahalaxmi Temple Krishnanath Gangaram Chari and Cemetery Helper Soma Narayan Dhargalkar.
During the ceremony, the awards, which included cash prizes and certificates, were presented by chief guest Dr Vinaykumar Pai Raikar in the presence of the awardees’ families.
Dr Raikar commended the efforts of the honorees and emphasized the importance of small yet significant roles in our lives, encouraging them to serve as role models for future generations.
He also expressed gratitude to the Rotary Club of Miramar for organizing such a meaningful event.
The event was attended by club members, including president Siddharth Deshpande, secretary Samrat Kamat and Vocational Service Director Shantendu Mohites. The ceremony was expertly hosted by Trupti Patil.
