
“Kala Rakhonn Mandd”, who is fighting against Kala Academy’s sub-standard renovation work, informed that chief minister Dr Pramod Sawant assured them to form a committee headed by retired judge along with Kala Rakhonn Mandd members and members from Charles Correia Foundation within a week to probe unplanned and haphazard work of Kala Academy. Addressing media after having meeting with chief minister in the presence of principal secretary to CM, former art and culture director Prasad Lolienkar, GSIDC and Kala Academy officials and art and culture director on Monday, Mandd’s convener Devidas Amonkar and member Sandesh Prabhudesai said after presenting their demands, chief minister assured to come out with solution for all, besides chief minister also agreed to appoint genuine artistes monitoring committee each and every talukas wherever ravindra bhavans existed. Sandesh Prabhudesai also said that the chief minister also assured them that Kala Academy will function full-fledge after submitting report of committee headed by non-government official.
