NO DECISION ON HOLDING MUNICIPAL POLLS ON PARTY LINES: GOA CM
PANAJI: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Satuday said that so far there is no decision that municipality elections will be conducted on party lines.
Speaking to media persons on the sidelines of BJP workers training at Margao, Sawant said ‘workers training’ is a regular exercise and is done ahead of Assembly elections. So far workers training has been completed in 28 Assembly constituencies and party hope to complete training of workers of all 40 constituency soon.
Sawant said, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is preparing for the municipal and 2022 Goa Assembly elections and hoped for success in both these polls.
“People have confidence in my leadership and party,” Sawant said adding that voters from Salcete Taluka too would have confidence in him.
Salcete Taluka which consists of eight Assembly constituencies is always considered to be stronghold of Congress Party.
