The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment has invited applications for National Awards for Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities 2025. Rashtriya Puraskar Portal (www.awards.gov.in) has been opened for receiving online applications/nominations for the Awards.
These prestigious civilian awards, presented every year on December 3, to mark the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, honour individuals with disabilities and institutions for their outstanding achievements and contributions toward the empowerment and inclusion of Divyangjan.
Awards are aimed to encourage inclusive participation, highlight accomplishments across fields such as education, employment, innovation, social service, and accessibility, and promote the mainstreaming of persons with disabilities in society.
The online nomination process will remain open until July 15, 2025. Nominations will be accepted exclusively through the Rashtriya Puraskar Portal. Detailed guidelines are also available on the website: www.depwd.gov.in.
The Department for Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Porvorim requested all eligible individuals, NGOs, institutions, and stakeholders in the disability sector to apply or nominate deserving candidates.
