Moira Panch member and Ex-MGP candidate Mahesh Satelkar and Moira Panch member Suryakant Bhatlekar joined the Aam Aadmi Party on Saturday in the presence of AAP Goa desk in-charge Atishi, AAP Goa Convener Rahul Mhambre and AAP Zilla Panchayat candidate Smita Shet.

In addition to Moira Panch members, former Sarpanch of Moira Poonam Volvoikar and former Panch of Moira Rama Satelkar joined the party.

AAP Goa Convener Rahul Mhambre said, “With both the BJP and the Congress involved in various scams, people have been thinking of joining the AAP. They want to make a difference in the state and have seen AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal’s governance model.They believe AAP’s model can transform Goa”.

He further said, “Both Mahesh Satelkar and Suryakant Bhatlekar are Panch members of Moira panchayat. Mahesh Satelkar is a social worker and contested assembly elections in 2017 from MGP. He was managing committee member of MGP”.

Delhi MLA and AAP Goa desk in-charge Atishi said, “In Goa, people are looking for a change and a government that will work for their improvement. Goans are unhappy with the state of education, health infrastructure, and the lack of basic amenities including uninterrupted electricity and water”.

“To date, several parties have ruled Goa, but none has worked for the common man. However, AAP national convener and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal has announced the 13-point Goa model. Further, AAP has announced Amit Palekar as its chief ministerial candidate; someone who is always ready to fight for the rights of Goans. We welcome Mahesh and Suryakant into the party and we all will work together to better Aldona”, she added.

Moira Panch member and Ex-MGP candidate Mahesh Satelkar said, “During the Covid period, when the BJP was busy with scams and the Congress was nowhere to be found, AAP was the only party that worked on the ground and helped Goans. Delhi CM and AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal’s vision is a new hope for the Goans. His six promises to the state will benefit the common people and they will be able to save ten lakh rupees over the course of AAP’s five-year tenure”.

AAP Zilla Panchayat candidate Smita Shet said, “AAP leaders has been reaching out to people with their six guarantees and are being greeted with overwhelming response in their campaigns. The party is receiving significant support from the Goans, and if AAP is voted to power all promises will be fulfilled”.
