Librarians play a very important role in imparting knowledge with the latest trend. Librarians should keep themselves updated with digital technology, said Shri. Daulat Hawaldar, Ex- Finance Secretary, Govt. of Goa. He was speaking as the Chief Guest at a program held to celebrate the birth anniversary of Dr. S.R. Ranganathan, father of Library Science which was celebrated as “ Librarian Day” recently by the Directorate of Art and Culture, and Krishnadas Shama Goa State Central Library, Panaji
Director of Art and Culture Shri Sagun Velip, Deputy Director / Curator Incharge Shri Ashok Parab and Asst. State Librarian Smt. Sulaksha S. Kolmule was also present on the occasion.
The half day programme included a book exhibition on Library Science books, motivational talk by the Chief Guest Shri Daulat Hawaldar, Release of Annual Report of Central Library compiled by library staff.
The Vote of thanks was proposed by Smt. Sulaksha Kolmule while as compering was done by Shri. Pradeep Naik was informed by the Department of Information and Publicity.
