BELAGAVI: The Belagavi court has remanded auto driver Amirsuhil Shakeel Sanadi, who was apprehended in connection with the death of former MLA and ex-Deputy Superintendent of Police Lavoo Mamledar, in judicial custody for a duration of 14 days.
It is important to note that former Goa legislator Lavoo Suryaji Mamledar passed away after being struck multiple times by an auto rickshaw driver during a confrontation related to a minor road incident in Belagavi on Saturday afternoon.
The incident occurred when Mamledar’s vehicle made contact with Sanadi’s auto on Khade Bazaar road, prompting the autorickshaw driver to pursue and fatally assault him at the lodge where he was staying.
During the confrontation, Sanadi delivered several blows to Mamledar’s right cheek in the hotel parking area, after which Mamledar collapsed while attempting to distance himself from the altercation and enter the hotel lobby.
