In a significant step towards improving rural connectivity in Sattari, Dr. Deviya Rane, MLA of Poriem Constituency and Chairperson of the Goa Forest Development Corporation, inaugurated a new KTCL bus service connecting Parye to Valpoi via Morlem.
Speaking at the occasion, Dr. DeviyaRane emphasized the importance of robust public transport in bridging communities and reducing the challenges faced by residents of remote villages. “This bus service will ease daily commutes, promote sustainable travel, and bring essential services within easier reach for our people. After three years of follow-up, we have finally received this much-awaited bus service, which was initially signed off on October 29, 2021, by former MLA Pratapsingh Rane. This will greatly benefit students of Bhumika High School, who previously faced significant inconvenience due to delays and irregular bus timings,” she stated.

She added, “this bus service will significantly benefit the residents of Karanzol, Valpoi, Honda, Morlem, Parye and Sankhalim, especially beneficial for the students of Shri Bhumika Higher Secondary School, who faced daily inconvenience due to the lack of timely and reliable transport. Buses often arrived late, causing students to miss important classes or, in some cases, discontinue their education altogether.”
Dr. Rane reaffirmed her commitment to delivering inclusive infrastructure that meets the real needs of the people. The initiative is part of a broader vision to enhance accessibility and improve the quality of life for citizens across Sattari.
Dr. Rane also extended her gratitude to Transport Minister Shri Mauvin Godinho and Shri Ulhas Tuenkar, Chairman of KTCL for their support in making this service a reality.
