PANAJI: The Leader of Congress party Amarnath Panajikar has congratulated Adv. Carlos Alvares Ferreira for being selected as Congress candidate for Aldona constituency and said that he is optimistic to win the seat.
Panajikar, who was also a ticket aspirant, said that he is a loyal and dedicated worker of Congress and happy with the decision taken by the party. “My ultimate goal is to send BJP home. I participate in many agitations against BJP as it has ruined Goa. I had hoped that the party would take cognisance of my work while giving tickets. But I am not among those who leave parties after a ticket is denied. How can everyone get party tickets.” He questioned.
Panajikar said that he will fully support Adv. Carlos Alvares Ferreira and will make him win. “We will win the Aldona seat and also Congress will win in many constituencies.” He said.
“If one wishes to help people, then there is no need to become only MLA. We can help people by staying in parties also. Once the Congress government comes to power, I will even get the opportunity to work for people.” He said.
