Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Shri. Nitin Gadkari today interacted with the Goan Industrialists on ‘Gati Shakti Master Plan’ at Donapaula. Union Minister suggested that, “Majority of the people are supporting different projects in the State. But these people are silent. Silent people should speak up for the betterment of the State”.
Chief Minister, Dr. Pramod Sawant, Transport Minister, Shri. Mauvin Godinho, EDC Chairman, Sadanand Shet Tanavade, J. Ashok Kumar, IAS, Secy Industries, Trade & Commerce, Rajkumar Kamat and other dignitaries were also present for the interaction programme.
Union Minister Gadkari informed that, “Mumbai to Goa & Goa to Karnataka is an important Road Transport connectivity projects for Goa and Rs. 18,000 Cr is sanctioned for the same. Also, Rs. 25,000 Cr are sanctioned for different projects for the State of Goa”. Zuari Bridge would be ‘State of art Bridge’ for Goa, he said.
While Interacting with the industrialists Union Minister Gadkari explained the detailed ‘Gati Shakti Master Plan’. He also noted different issues and suggestions put forth by the Industrialists and also gave them the favourable suggestions and solutions.
Union Minister stressing the use of ethanol in the transport sector said that the government is promoting ethanol manufacturing in a big way in the country.
The interaction between the Union Minister and industrialists was healthy and fruitful for the future of industrial development.
Speaking on the occasion, CM Dr. Pramod Sawant expressed gratitude to Union Minister, Shri Gadkari for his efforts to give innovative projects to Goa. Speaking about PM Gati Shakti Master Plan CM Sawant said, ” This Master plan will ensure Best Road, Air, Rail & Water connectivity to the entire country. It will reduce the cost of logistics & will increase employment opportunities. Hence, Gati Shakti will help to move ahead out of Pandemic”.
CM sawant appreciating the support given by industries to the government said that ‘Swaypurna Yuva’ is important to make Goa Swayampurna, and the government is working towards it.
Transport Minister, Shri Mauvin Godinho said, “PM Narendra Modi has launched an important Program of ‘Gati Shakti Master Plan’. After the Pandemic situation, now we have to move ahead and see that all the Industries are running towards one goal all together to make economy stronger. Union Minister Nitin Gadkari is a true friend of Goa & entire country, as Gadkari has always extended help to Goa by his out of the box thinking”, said Panchayat Minister.
