
PANAJI: The short film Dvipraan was awarded 1st place at the Ad Short Film Competition organized by the State Organ and Tissue Transplant Organization (SOTTO) Goa, in collaboration with the Entertainment Society of Goa (ESG). The awards were presented by Health Minister Vishwjeet Rane during Pratibha 2025, the annual function and prize distribution ceremony of Goa Medical College, held at Kala Academy, Goa.
Produced by Aarya Ranjan Mayekar & team and directed by Vibhav Vinayak Naik, ‘Dvipraan’ sheds light on the taboos and misconceptions surrounding organ donation. The two-minute film presents a thought-provoking perspective, encouraging a shift in mindset toward this life-saving act.
This recognition serves as a platform to further the conversation on organ donation awareness, reinforcing the importance of informed choices and societal support for the cause.
Meanwhile, the short film ‘Sanskruti’ by Ashirwad Moving Images won second prize whereas Aiz Maka Falea Tuka by Desmond Pinto and Organ Donation by Vibrant Films Goa shared third prize respectively in the competition.
