In view of the General Elections to the Goa Legislative Assembly 2022 scheduled on February 14, 2022 District Magistrate and District Election Officer North Goa has served notices to various Printing Press and Publishers located in North Goa District for violating the provisions of Section 127A of the Representation of the People Act, 1951.           District Magistrate and District Election Officer North Goa has directed the printers and publishers to take note of the provisions and strictly comply with the same as regards to printing of any election pamphlets or posters or such other material from any candidate, their agents or any political parties and indicate clearly in the print line the name and addresses of the printer and publisher of any election pamphlets or posters such other material printed by them and  send  the copies of the printed material and the declaration obtained from the publisher as required under Section 127A(2) within 3 days.           Any violation of the provisions of the above sections and directions of the Election Commission of India issued from time to time will be viewed seriously and stern action will be taken including revocation of the license of the Printing Press and advertising agency, as intimated by Department of Information and Publicity.
