Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant chaired a meeting at Police HQ, Panaji, to review the progress of border check post infrastructure and enforcement readiness with, IGP, DIG, Transport Director, SP North Goa, SP Transport, PCE and others.

HCM assessed infrastructure readiness at Patradevi & Keri (North Goa) and Mollem & Polem (South Goa) by PWD, Discussed land availability for developing way-side public amenities and IOCL petrol pumps and reviewed application development progress by ITG and rollout plans by SP Traffic, also deliberated on public notification strategy, automated border monitoring, and integration with VAHAN.

Key Decisions:

  • Transport Department to initiate an ordinance for license cancellation of rent-a-car/bike operators using private vehicles for commercial use.
  • Green initiative “Ek Ped Ma Ke Naam” to be implemented at all police stations.

HCM stated that Goa Government is working to build a seamless, transparent and citizen-friendly mobility and enforcement ecosystem at Goa’s borders.
