
In a continued effort to support and empower local artisans and promote traditional livelihoods, Dr. Deviya Rane distributed Clay Moulding Machines to beneficiaries from remote areas of Sattari under the Goa Handicrafts Rural & Small Scale Industrial Development Corporation Limited.
The beneficiaries of this initiative included:
- Shri Mahesh Ladu Gaonkar, resident of Naneli, V.P. Dongurli, Thane – Sattari
- Shri Harichandra Kusta Gaonkar, resident of Poriem – Sattari
- Shri Tulshidas Shivlo Gaonkar, resident of Maddiwada, Thane – Sattari
This initiative aims to encourage rural entrepreneurship, revive traditional pottery and handicraft practices, and provide artisans with tools that help enhance productivity while preserving cultural heritage.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Deviya Rane reiterated her commitment to strengthening rural livelihoods and supporting self-reliant Goa through sustainable skill-based empowerment. She emphasized the importance of such interventions in enhancing income opportunities and preserving age-old traditions in today’s rapidly changing world.
