Aam Aadmi Party’s Benaulim candidate, Venzy Viegas, launched a mobile number for Benaulim entrepreneurs to seek inputs and suggestions in order to create a manifesto geared towards business community members, on Monday. Impressed by the Venzy Viegas’s vision for Benaulim constituency Saturnino Rodrigues, owner of Goan Sip and a prominent businessman from Benaulim endorsed endorsed AAP leader Captain Venzy Viegas.
Announcing the launch of a number (9851134134), Viegas said that entrepreneurs of Benaulim should call or message or WhatsApp and give their inputs for the manifesto. “Hoteliers, restaurant owners, taxi operators, or any other small business owner can provide their suggestions, and all suggestions will be incorporated into a manifesto and implemented over the next five years”, he added.
“In order to create a manifesto for businesses, development of businesses and ease of doing businesses in Benaulim, a Goan businessman panel will be constituted. It is the first of its kind in Benaulim and an opportunity to make a difference. This will be a confidential panel. This is a visionary dream for Benaulim, and its execution will be an accomplishment of that dream”, he further said.
While speaking to the media Rodrigues said, “The COVID has damaged many businesses, causing them to face several hardships. The Benaulim business community has become weary of ‘Haftagiri’ and ‘Dadagiri’ as well. I’ve been in business for several years now, and faced ‘Dadagiri’ on several occasions. I have reported this to village Panchayat as well. Having established my business legally, I have nothing stopping me from doing business. I hope Venzy Viegas can put a stop to this”.
“Currently, there are many schemes for the business community, nonetheless, they remain on paper. Only a select section of the business community or those from a specific constituency gets benefit.I am appealing to the Benaulim business community to come forward and suggest ways for Viegas to improve their business”, he added
