Aam Aadmi Party leader and former Cortalim MLA Alina Saldana on Sunday has released a brochure detailing the development work she has undertaken in the past decade.

While speaking to the media she said, “We have included an overview of the major projects we have completed, the services we have provided, and the ongoing major projects in the brochure”.

Adding she said, “The people of the constituency are frequently unaware of all the projects we have undertaken in other villages. This booklet has been published for the purpose of making people aware of all the work that I have done for the benefit of the constituency”.

She said, “All major work has been completed in every village. In fact, some of my work is still in progress even though I am not currently representing the constituency”.

“In the wake of the pandemic, I changed the entire plan for Zuari Nagar considering the situation in Zuari Nagar. The market complex is almost completed, and it will be of great benefit to the people of Zuari Nagar. First-floor facilities such as the library, the meeting room, and other facilities were unnecessary. Therefore, the floor has been converted into a sub-health center with 10 beds”, she added.

Regarding Kala Bhavan she said, “I was refusing to take up this project because Kala Bhavan was started without a parent department. That is the reason it took us almost one and half years to find somebody. Nobody wanted to take responsibility. Even the Kala Bhavan minister refused to take the responsibility and asked to complete the project and handover to them”.

Adding she said, “In response to the request of late Manohar Parrikar, I have decided to take up the project. He is the one who asked GSIDC to take over the project. The compound is almost complete. However, the auditorium which is very important and requires special attention is not yet complete, but the project will be completed in a few months”.
