In continuation of previous forecasts, because of the possible formation of a trough near the latitudes of Goa, rainfall activity is likely to increase over Goa on 19th &20th November.
As a result of these systems, Heavy rainfall (64.5 – 115.5 mm of rainfall in 24 hours) is very likely at one or two places over North& South Goa districts on 20th November.Thunderstorm accompanied with lightning is very likely to continue over North & South Goa districts of Goa upto around 22nd November. Short intense spells and Winds of speed around 40kmph likely over the districts. Light to moderate rain/thunderstorm activity with a much lesser spatial distribution is likely to continue over North and South Goa districts upto around 25th November.
Please avoid open areas/fields, taking shelter under tall trees or structure while thunderstorms are taking places in the area.
