GCCI- Women s Wing held its MEET THE COUNCIL- at Calangute on Friday, 27 AUG 2021 following all Covid appropriate behaviour. Women s Felicitation Council ( Help Desk ) is an initiative of GCCI WW which was started 2 years back – The Council comprises of Ms Deepali Naik – Women & Child Development Director, Ms Inseyeh Ali – FIIRE ( Forum for innovation, incubation, research & entrepreneurship), Advocate Priyanka Kamat Shetiye-, CA/CS Swatee Rane and Ms Pallavi Salgaocar Chairperson- GCCI Womens Wing.
The Help desk is free and gives all business related assistance and advice to women entrepreneurs & SHG.
The council holds Meetings at regular intervals with women entrepreneurs & Self Help groups to apprise them of the schemes available for them & resolve their queries . This time the meeting was held at Hotel Neelam Grand at Calangute with Self Help Groups from Calangute. The program was compered and coordinated by Ms Sonali Walke Nagvenkar – a WW member in association with ex Sarpanch and social worker Mr Sudesh Mayekar and community resource persons Ms Nita Kerkar & Ms Nivedita Mathkar.
Also resource persons from DITC, Ms Geremina Araujo, Industry Inspector, from EDC, Ms Muriel Braganza, Dy. Manager, from FDA, Mr Rajaram Patil, Senior Food Safety Officer and Mr Madhav Kavlekar, Food Safety Officer, from Women & Child Dept, Ms Reema Parseker, Mukhya Sevika, Bardez Block, and from SBI Bank, Mr Rohit Meshram, Branch Manager SBI, Calangute were present at the meeting to explain various schemes and programs.
