Swami Vivekanand Vidyaprasarak Mandal’s College of Commerce, Ponda, has added another feather to its cap as its third-year B. Com student, Mr. Suraj Kumar UdayaChandra Bharti, was felicitated as a Young Entrepreneur at the prestigious Converge 3.0 – Shiksha Udyojak Sangam, an Academia-Industry Summit organized by the Goa state Higher Education Council, Directorate of Higher Education, Government of Goa. The felicitation took place during the grand finale of the event held at Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Stadium, Bambolim, on February 24, 2026. Converge 3.0, running from January 30 to February 24, 2026, brought together over 500 entrepreneurs and corporates, along with 25,000 students from 50 technical and general colleges across Goa. The summit, themed “Innovate, Integrate, Impact: Building Goa’s Future-Ready Changemakers,” focused on fostering collaboration between academia and industry, empowering youth through innovation, skilling, and entrepreneurship.
First initiative of Suraj as, RS Enterprises, is a physical clothing business launched with a modest investment of Rs. 5,000 earned through catering work. Operating primarily in Ponda, Goa, the business involves direct selling at melas,(fairs) jatras, and villages, with a focus on customer interaction and understanding local market demands
Complementing this, Suraj founded 26Tuling (accessible via website), an online platform offering 26 diverse tools (with tools 1–17 currently active). The site generates revenue through ads via Adsterra and showcases his skills in content creation, script writing, digital marketing, prompt engineering, thumbnail/poster editing, and video editing.
Suraj’s multifaceted talents, confidence, and growth mindset have made him a shining example of student entrepreneurship. The entire college fraternity is proud of this recognition and also one of punctual students, which highlights how young minds from Goa are driving innovation and self-reliance.
Principal of college, Prof Achut Pednekar and faculty members congratulated Suraj on this milestone, noting that it inspires fellow students to pursue entrepreneurial ventures alongside academics.
