Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant laid the Foundation Stone for the new two-lane bridge connecting Davem and Sanvordem villages in Sattari, in the presence of Health Minister Shri Vishwajit Rane, MLA Dr. Deviya Rane and other dignitaries.
HCM said that the project, undertaken by GSIDC for the Public Works Department at a cost of ₹29.93 crore, includes a modern two-lane bridge with footpaths on both sides, safer pedestrian movement, proper approach roads and LED street lighting. He said that this much-needed bridge replaces the existing narrow single-lane structure and will significantly improve connectivity for residents who use this route every day.

HCM further mentioned that once completed, it will ease congestion, enhance safety and reduce travel distance by nearly 7–8 km for people travelling towards Ponda and South Goa, while also helping commuters bypass the busy Valpoi market stretch. Beyond convenience, it will support local mobility, economic activity and everyday life for nearby villages.
HCM affirmed that our Government remains committed to strengthening infrastructure, last-mile connectivity and ensuring all round development.
