
Goa Tourism made a vibrant start at OTDYKH Leisure 2025, one of the largest international travel and tourism exhibitions, which opened on September 11, 2025 at the Timiryazev Exhibition Center, Moscow. The Goa Tourism Pavilion drew strong attention from international travel trade stakeholders, media, and visitors as it unveiled the theme “Sunshine and More in Goa”, capturing the essence of India’s sunshine state as a year-round, holistic destination.
A Goa delegation led by Shri Kedar Naik, Director of Tourism, along with Shri Prasad Kavlekar, Senior Manager, Marketing, GTDC, engaged with global travel professionals, industry leaders, and potential partners at the event. During the visit, Shri Kedar Naik also had a meaningful interaction with Shri Nikhilesh Giri, Deputy Chief of Mission, Embassy of India, Moscow, further strengthening Goa’s international outreach and collaborations.

Meanwhile Hon’ble minister For Tourism, Shri Rohan A. Khaunte said, “Goa is moving beyond being just a beach destination. Through ‘Sunshine and More in Goa,’ we are showcasing the state’s evolving identity as a destination rooted in culture, wellness, adventure, and sustainability. Our participation here is about building deeper collaborations and ensuring that Goa remains a preferred choice for quality international travellers.”
Adding to this, Director of Tourism, Shri Kedar Naik, noted, “The enthusiastic response on Day 1 reaffirms Goa’s strong recall among international visitors. At OTDYKH, we are emphasizing regenerative tourism, responsible travel, and authentic local experiences.”
Day 1 at the Pavilion featured interactive sessions with trade partners, while visitors engaged with multimedia showcases, and storytelling that highlighted Goa’s transformation into a sustainable and world-class destination.
The Pavilion offered an immersive glimpse into Goa’s diverse tourism offerings from pristine coastline and luxury hospitality to wellness and spiritual tourism, heritage trails, adventure activities, hinterland experiences, and community-based tourism. With growing global interest in regenerative tourism, Goa Tourism’s showcase placed special focus on its efforts to preserve ecosystems, empower local communities, and promote responsible travel practices.
As OTDYKH Leisure 2025 continues till September 12, 2025, the Goa Tourism Pavilion is set to host further B2B meetings, cultural showcases, and networking opportunities, positioning Goa as a vibrant destination that truly offers “Sunshine and More.”
