  3. Goa Riders’ Kailash Mansarovar Journey Cut Short Amid Nepal Unrest

Goa-based bikers Deepraj Raikar and Amey Naik set out on an adventurous road trip on Royal Enfield Himalayan 411 motorcycles, leaving Goa on 5th September 2025 with the dream of completing the Kailash Mansarovar Darshan, a spiritual and adventurous journey they had been planning for years.

The duo reached Nepalgunj via the Rupadia border on 8th September. However, soon after entering Nepal, they were caught in the middle of the ongoing political unrest and violent protests that have gripped the country. With the situation escalating rapidly—riots breaking out, curfews imposed, and the Indo-Nepal border city turning tense—the riders had no option but to abandon their pilgrimage.

In a tense and uncertain environment, the two riders managed to sneak back into India on 9th September, narrowly escaping the unrest. While their spiritual dream of Kailash Darshan remains unfulfilled for now, their resilience and determination on this difficult journey stand out.
