Air Marshal Sandesh Wagle PVSM AVSM VM (Retd.) will attend the Kargil Vijay Divas Celebrations organised by Ex NCC Cadets Association on Saturday, July 26 at 11.00 am.
The Cadets of 1 Goa Battalion will present arms and later reverse arms in respect of the Martyrs. The Cadets will also escort the dignitaries at the wreath laying. The Security personnel GHRDC will also be in attendence. They will escort the dignitaries from the gate to the venue
Air Marshal Wagle was the Deputy Chief of Defence Staff and served as the Deputy to the Chief of Defence Staff, General Bipin Rawat and to the present CDS, General Anil Chauhan.
Wagle participated in the operations in the Siachen Glacier and Indian Peace Keeping Force (IPKF) in Sri Lanka. He was the Commanding Officer of the premier Attack Helicopter Squadron of the IAF in the western sector and also in UN operations in the Democratic Republic of Congo, for which he was awarded the Vayu Sena Medal by the President of India.
