Shiksha Vision proudly marked the successful completion of its fifth annual Mega Super Specialty Eye Check-up Camp, reaffirming its commitment to eye health and community well-being. Held in Bicholim, the camp drew an overwhelming response from local residents, reflecting the trust and impact Shiksha Vision has cultivated over the years.

This year, the camp recorded a remarkable 1158 OPDs, distributed 610 spectacle frames, and identified 155 cataract cases. As a continuation of its mission, these cataract patients will undergo free surgeries at Vision Hospital, ensuring that quality eye care remains accessible to all.

A team of expert ophthalmologists spearheaded the medical efforts, including Dr. Neil Mascarenhas (Vitreo Retinal Surgeon), Dr. Naomi Dcosta (Cataract & Refractive Surgeon), Dr. Ritu Chaudhuri (Cataract & Glaucoma Specialist), and Dr. Nivisha Bandodkar (Cornea Surgeon).

The event was further elevated by the presence of several notable dignitaries. Chief Guest Dr. Pranav Budkule, Guest of Honour Joyce Lobo (GM, GKB Hitech Pvt Ltd.), BMC Chairperson Shri. Vijaykumar Natekar, Vice Chairperson Smt. Deepa Pal, and Project Incharge Shri. Rama Parab joined hands with other councillors and advocates to show their support.

Shiksha Vision’s unwavering commitment to public health continues to inspire, with this year’s success fueling more ambitious plans for the future. This milestone reflects a strong partnership between healthcare professionals, community leaders, and the people of Bicholim, all striving together for a clearer, healthier vision for tomorrow.
