Commenting on the visit of MLA Vijai Sardesai visit to Pernem yesterday, AAP’s Vice-President Sunil Signapurkar suggested that he should first clean up his own house in Fatorda before entering other constituencies.
“The Fatorda MLA is not taking any action against the sewage water flowing on to the roads and fields right in front of the District Hospital, potentially creating additional health issues for patients and families.
Further, everyone except Vijai seems to be aware of the fish racket going on in Fatorda constituency, in which chemically treated fish is being supplied across Goa, and no FDA checks are being conducted”, Signapurkar alleged.
Signapurkar reminded Vijai that BJP President Damu Naik had challenged him to show development, but he could not respond to the challenge except to get some of his supporters to do a press conference.
“CM Sawant himself had exposed a ₹130 crore Fatorda-London scam. Vijai should declare what is the “understanding” he has with the Chief Minister since no action seems to have been on this scam by the Economic Offences Cell since the allegation. Neither has the rampant conversions under the 16-B amendment by former TCP minister Vijai been acted on by Sawant”, Signapurkar stated.
Signapurkar also stated that people should look at the development done by AAP MLAs Venzy Viegas and Cruz Silva in their constituencies, providing free healthcare, ensuring proper supply of basic services, and personally responding to issues faced by people.
Commenting on the acid attack on a student in Pernem constituency, Signapurkar attacked the BJP Govt and the local MLA for their failure on law & order. He said that criminals have no fear of the law now under BJP, and this is inspiring new types of crimes in Goa.
“The MLA of Pernem seems to be too busy building his fortune to bother about his constituents. Will Home Minister ensure harshest punishment for the perpetrator to deter future such attacks, or will be allow this to be swept under the carpet after a few days of outrage?”, he demanded to know.
