
Rajya Sabha MP Shri Sadanand Shet Tanavade attended a review meeting on the implementation of the MPLADS (Members of Parliament Local Area Development Scheme) at the Secretariat, Porvorim.
The meeting was chaired by Chief Secretary Dr. V. Candavelou, IAS, and was attended by South Goa MP Capt. Viriato Fernandes, North Goa Collector Ms. Yashashwini B, IAS, South Goa Collector Ms. Igna Cleetus, IAS, Secretary Sandeep Jacques, IAS, and other senior officials.
Shri Tanavade reviewed the progress of ongoing and proposed projects under MPLADS in both North and South Goa. A total of 17 projects have been recommended so far, out of which 4 projects have been sanctioned and are already operational. These include two school buses, one hearse van, and construction of three classrooms for a school. The projects recommended by Shri Tanavade are spread across various constituencies.

The Rajya Sabha MP stressed on the timely completion of approved works, transparency in execution, and resolving any challenges faced during implementation. He also appreciated the efforts of the both District Collectors, Officials, Staff and encouraged continued coordination to ensure proper use of MPLADS funds for public benefit.
The meeting ended with a shared commitment to improve processes and monitoring so that the scheme delivers its intended results effectively.
