SESSION ON “INCLUSIVE EDUCATION AT ELEMENTARY LEVEL FOR CHILDREN WITH HIV/AIDS IN INDIA ON 1ST DECEMBER

PANAJI: Under Beti Bachao Beti Padhao initiative, Agnel Entrepreneurship Development Institute (AEDI) – State Resource Centre for Women (SRCW), Goa and the Directorate of Women and Child Development, Government of Goa will  organise an important webinar session on the topic “Inclusive Education at Elementary Level for Children with HIV/AIDS in India” on Tuesday, 1st December, to commemorate ‘World AIDS Day’.

Children affected with HIV/AIDS are the most neglected strata of society that appeals the attention of State and non-State actors. These children by virtue of their birth are subjected to all sorts of discrimination, violence and transgression of human rights. Even by virtue of judicial pronouncements and legislations in force these children are not able to ventilate their grievances and are continuously battling for realization of their rights.

Through this webinar the organizers attempt to spell out the legal conundrum that crosses the minds of these children including their parents or guardians when it comes to claiming an inclusive right to education at the elementary stage and recommend suggestions for ideal prospects of this vulnerable section of society.

The session is free and open to all from 10 am to 11 am and the participants will get an E-Certificate.
